Avantika Rao is a writer, educator and attorney.  She speaks English, Spanish and Hindi fluently.  She has expertise in settlement, employment, housing and immigration cases.  

Avantika headed the Employment Project of the Asian Law Caucus, implemented a housing grant in four CRLA (California Rural Legal Assistance) offices, and advocated for immigrants at La Raza Centro Legal & Casa Cornelia Law Center.

Avantika received the Jack W. Londen Award from the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the Bay Area for her multi-year work on a landmark human trafficking case.

Avantika's writings have been published in Trikone, Manushi and Columbia Professor Alexander Stille's book "The Future of the Past".
